Motor Honda Bebek di Indonesia!

Hei guys!The spirit of writing of come inside me once again.Tonight i want to write about "Motor Bebek"!
Bebek is stand for Duck in Indonesian.hahahahahaha i don`t know why the people of my country called it as Motor Bebek.It seemingly because the apperance of Underbone motorcycle is similar to duck with their small body and long neck.

Motor bebek is debuted long time ago back to 1960s.At the time,people called it as....hmm freak enough.It is "Unyil Bike"....it is reference to the Indonesians Kids program "Unyil" due to it`s smaller stature like Unyil was.It quickly change to "Motor Bebek" until today,because it bear similarities to duck rather than Unyil.

The Exact year of it`s debut were in 1961.The first mode was "Cub" (Pictured) to make his debut on the road of Indonesia.

1.Cub Series
I admit it,this bike is the legend for all of the underbone motorcycle.Cub published in 1961 and ended in 1980.Cub was also the underbone motorcycle to have many variation that even beating Supra Series` variation.The variation of Cub is different from Supra.Cub vary from it`s engine type from 50cc to 100cc .When it release in 1961,it`s selling was exploded!

Cub is also the first bike to featured Electric Starter as oppose to traditional Kick starter.Cub however,feature both of this starter




Honda  C70 was one of the best selling in this variation.Even until today,it still occasionally be seen on the road.However it rarely seen in my hometown of Pademangan,North Jakarta.

2.Honda Super 700 and 800


This was the last generation of the Old era Honda.The feature is not much different from the previous model.Super Cub 700 (pictured) feature a different setting of carburator and more futuristic body.The rest,it retain all that feature from previous Cub


With the introduction Honda 800,Cub series is begin to slow down.800 also the first to have a "Astrea" name on it.Actually it is same like Super cub 700 but with the different body.Astrea 800 featuring small glass wind shield on it`s Headlight.This remain exclusive to it until today,because there`s no succesor who wear this.

3.Honda Astrea Star,Prima,&Grand
 Around 1989-1991 Honda release 2 more bikes with the new style.Prima and Star are 2 examples of up-lift success of Honda in Indonesia.This variant featuring new engine type C-100 that remain until Honda Revo STD in 2007.in 1991 Honda release the Prim with limited edition.Some say this limited edition had more power than the standart Prima.They can run at full speed more faster.


Up until 1995,Prima and Star remain.But not until 1996 when Grand was released.It`s body is the tweaked version of Prima while it retain the engine with C-100.Grand is popular for it`s Endurance and can hold on for quite long time.It is still can be seen on the road of Jakarta.Promote by Indonesian Actor and Comedia Mandra,He claim Grand as "The King of 4-Stroke".

Grand also have a variant called "Impressa".....For me it is the same Grand with different Stripping sticker.But their body part can`t be mixed at the same time.

4.Supra Series

 (Original Supra)


 Ah!!!!!FINALLLY!THE Rock has.......wait a minute hahahahaha


Here we go!The Supra series!Honda`s Victory Card!

Honda Supra actually just for accompany Astrea Grand....but in the end it is rules Grand in the proccess!The original Supra (Pictured) come to Road in 1997.It feature completely new Body that 45 degrees raise up.But this actually became the main reason,that the people bought this motorcycle.Especially for young people at the time,They claim Supra is more Youngster than Grand was.

In 2000 the first Supra`s variant was born.it is called Astrea Supra X.It remain same as previous Supra but had more color.The only differences between Supra X and other is it`s Lamp button is on the left instead of right.

Supra X also come out with the other variant of Supra,and it is the original Supra Fit,Still,with the Astrea name bore in first of the name.....and again they all same only few tweak in the engine that distinguised them.



As you see on the picture,their body is same right????Actually Honda also produce Supra V and Supra XX who has a manual transmission,but they failed.

After couple abort of time,Honda fill vacancy with the new variant.But this variant not as good as Supra was (i talk about them later after this).After 2005 Honda produce all new type of Supra called Supra X 125.The first Supra to had 125CC engine.
This variant go alongside Karisma (stand alone series) in the same engine class.And this would remain until 2007.Supra X 125 was replaced by New Supra X 125R.It not far different from the original Supra 125.Only the new Headlight case at all.



in end of 2005,Honda close the year with the new Supra Fit.This would be not confuse with the original and this time the C-100 engiine motorcycle didn`t use the Astrea name on it.Honda Supra Fit is my current motorcycle.But just like always,it same like other C-100 motorcycle,only with the different body.

Until 2013,Honda feature one more variant of Supra.This time is the ultimate form of Supra 125 called "Supra X 125 Helm-In".........Why helm in???yep just like it`s name,the full face helmet can be loaded into the bagage below the seat.Just imagine how big it`s bagage is.


5.Kirana

The Shortest Honda type.It`s life span only lasted 1,5 year from 2002 fall until early 2004.Kirana also the first true motorcycle of Honda who had 125CC engine.But because it`s selling i bad,no one thought that either.In my opinion,Kirana`s failure is because it`s too "traditional" for the mmodern entry.It`s body,if you look sharply,it really a copy from Astrea Grand.Just imagine,in the new era,it still feature old er motorcycle???

Aside from Body,Kirana`s top speed also become a problem.When it reach the top speed,the body will shake,and dangerous for the rider in fear of being thrown.Some said,this motorcycle,was the Prototype for Karisma.Kirana failed to compete and quickly replaced by Karisma Series.And with the release of Karisma then Karisma X,Kirana declared finished!

6.Karisma Series
 Karisma debuted back in 2004.After the lost of Kirana,Karisma took it`s place.Karisma had the same engine as Supra 125R and Kirana 125.The body type is also new.But nothing special more than it`s high engiine.

 In 2005,Karisma X was released as new variant of original Karisma.Maybe it`s just like Supra and Supra X before it.

Karisma (Original) is discontinued in 2006 while the Karisma X continue over the year later in 2007,when it finally came to an end in favor of Supra X 125 R.

7.Blade Series
 In 2010,the rivarly between motorcycle brand is in the top of heat.Honda produced "Honda Blade".Blade had New engine of 110 cc and unique body that feature the lamp attach to body instead of the stir.Honda Blade selling record is good,as the feedback from civilian for it is high.

 
 Honda see this as opportunity,and make the face-lift for Blade,with the New Blade.It`s body is simmilar to the original,but now,the unique feature is removed.The lamp is now in headlight case.up until 2013,this is still in production.

8.Revo Series
  this was the last variants of Underbone Honda.In 2007,Honda release the final C-100 motorcycle called Revo.It`s name derived from "Revolution" which mean Honda wanted to start.It`s design is received well acceptance except for the engine.The Original Revo doesn`t last long.....Honda replaced it and continue it`s legacy with new "Absolute" Revo.

 Absolute Revo first apperance were in 2009.And since then,Absolute Revo become Honda`s main starter in front along with Supra Helm In.Revo main variant were the first ever underbone automatic transmition called "Revo AT"

Revo AT Come at 2011,and it`s look like the regular underbone motorcycle,but without Transmision handle in left footstep.
